Between Sonoma and Glen Ellen on state Route 12 lies the small community of Agua Caliente. People have been coming to enjoy the warm springs of Agua Caliente for more than 100 years when the railroads first began promoting Sonoma County as a popular destination. The railroads are long gone, but the reasons people move to Agua Caliente remain: great weather, a beautiful location in Sonoma's Valley of the Moon, and, of course, access to the geothermal springs that abound in this area.
Agua Caliente is part of a community called The Springs, which also includes Boyes Hot Springs and El Verano. One of the most desirable neighborhoods is Agua Caliente Knolls, just north of town. Gently rolling hills, redwoods, and oaks give this quiet residential neighborhood a bucolic feel.
Local families enjoy the Sonoma Aquatic Club, a year-round membership club with indoor and outdoor pools and jacuzzis. For dining and shopping, most residents drive to nearby Sonoma.
